Kaiji

I recently watched Kaiji, The Ultimate Gambler. I think it's quite well done though I can't compare it directly to the manga 'cause I didn't bother to read it and it's not good to contrast similar works of different genres.

Kaiji is an ongoing manga which started back in the '90s. The character design is the same as Detective Conan (don't know if it came from the same mangaka). At first, I was amazed by the Liar Game concept but after viewing this, I realized that Liar game was sort of a rip-off because Kaiji's card tactics were the same as that used by  Nao in the Liar Game manga when she was coached by Akiyama on how to defeat Fukunaga in the revival round. Furthermore, I did not like the LG drama because it leaned more on the romantic rather than the psychological side.

I'll find the time to include the sypnosis and screenshots after I manage to complete portions of my thesis, papers and exams. *fingers crossed on the last part* *gasp*
